- Dyed Window Film
(offered)
Window Film Rating: Economic opcion, Basic Film
Dyed Tinting Film is basically a polyester layer with a base layer of dye placed in the adhesive layer or into a polyester sheet and glued together. This film is mainly used for its appearance. The only issue with having a dyed window film on your car is that over time, these films will begin to lose their color, and tend to turn purple and delaminate at some point. This is true for any window tinting film that is a dyed product. You will typically find that these films dominate the low priced category for car window tinting prices. Purchasing a dyed window film for your car could possibly mean that at some point in time you may have to have the film removed and replaced. Look around at other cars that are tinted as you are driving during the day. You will see films that have lost their color, look completely purple in appearance, and possibly are bubbled up due to film failure. These are generally dyed window film products.
*Neutral appearance
*Provides low Heat Rejection (19%)
*Dyed window last as many as 4-5 years before fading and discoloration
*Limit warranty: Bubbling, peeling, delamination and adhesive failure
- Hybrid Metalized Films
(recomended by HP Films)
Window Film Rating: GOOD
Main Qualities: Heat Reduction, Glare Reduction, UV Protection. Description: Hybrid Films use a combination of a dyed layer as well as a metalized layer. A metal layer is used for its reflective qualities and a dyed layer is used for its absorptive qualities and to mitigate the shiny quality of the metal layer. Hybrid tinting films are generally considered to be a premium film. It is the film most often used when customers don’t specify what kind of tint they desire. This film is a good product for customers that desire crisp appearance, heat reduction, glare reduction and UV protection. These films provide great protection from the sun’s light, as well as having a more scratch-resistant outer layer which also strengthens the window and helps prevent shattering. It is called metallized film due to the fact that microscopic metallic particles are attached to a layer of the tinting. The film is entered into a vacuum tank of highly-heated metals which then thinly attach themselves to the surface of the film. This nearly-clear layer of film uses the metal to reflect the sun’s light before it is able to pass through the glass. Metalized window tinting is very good at reducing heat and reflecting UV rays. Metal films can sometimes interfere with radar detectors, radio antennas, portable navigation units, portable sat radios systems, GPS, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) sensors, and cell phones. Most of the companies we compete against only care about getting your money now, and could care less about what might happen with your window film installation later on down the road. We make sure to explain the difference between all our films, and what you can expect from them over time. If you are looking for a window film that will not turn purple, and has a lifetime color stability warranty. Visit us!.
Pros:
*Good entry level film
*Neutral appearance, non-reflective
*Provides very good U.V. and heat rejection of 32%
*Lifetime Warranty / fading & discoloration durability

- Carbon Window Films
(recomended)
Window Film Rating: BETTER
Main Qualities: True Black Appearance, Fade Resistant, Heat Reduction, Glare Reduction, UV Protection.
Carbon Film is the first color-stable film. Carbon film is constructed with a patented Nano-Carbon technology. This means the film derives its color from carbon material which never fades. Carbon tint is a true black film that does not have the "mirror look" that the metalized films have. Lifetime Warranty that guarantees this film will NEVER fade or turn purple. Outstanding heat, glare, fade, and UV protection. No metal layers to interfere with radio, GPS and cell phones.
Carbon Window Film is truly in a class by itself. This is a carbon based product that actually has real carbon in the film. Some companies that make films claim to have carbon properties, but they put just enough in the film to call it carbon. A lot of films that are touted as a carbon based product, can in fact be a "hybrid" product, meaning it can contain elements that are carbon and dyed construction.
There are no dyes in the Carbon film product. If you don't do the research, and go with a company that says they have a true carbon based film with no dyes, you might find your film failing after a short period of time.
This film is one of the best color stable films on the market and will never fade. Beautiful charcoal color, excellent clarity, and long term weather-ability are just a few of the outstanding attributes of the Carbon Window Tint Series. Lifetime Warranty is standard.
Pros:
*Very good long term selection
*Excellent U.V. Protection
*True carbon construction
*No synthetic dyes
*Cool custom look
*Lifetime Warranty / Fading, discoloration durability, Bubbling, peeling, delamination & adhesive failure

- CXP Nano Hybrid or CIR Ceramic Window Films
(highly recomended)
Window Film Rating: BEST
SunTek still boasts next-generation film technologies, and the CXP's or CIR's impressive qualities make them an excellent choice for style and function.
SunTek CXP or CIR Window Tint are non-metal and use Signal Enabling Technology, which means it will not interfere with any wireless signal devices - keyless entry systems, satellite radio, remote start, etc. The use of carbon technology also cuts down on Visible Light Reflectance, or VLR. VLR is how much of the sun's brightness is bounced off the window tint, meaning the higher the VLR, the darker it will be inside the automobile. This can be frustrating for vehicle owners who would prefer window tint to merely filter out harmful rays or simply improve the look of the car. They have a VLR as low as 5%, with some of the most competitive figures on the market.
In addition, They can be installed with a Visible Light Transmission from 6%-80%, giving customers an incredible range of how dark the window tinting will appear from outside the vehicle. Keep in mind that "Limo Tint" has 5% VLT, and that each state has its own limits on minimum VLT - anyone considering CXP for a daily driver should review their state law before deciding. Of course, regardless of how dark the window tint is, each product protects against over 99% of the sun's ultraviolet radiation.
In case the price difference between the 3M and SunTek tints brews uncertainty, know that SunTek stands by their products with a lifetime warranty that even covers fading. That provides peace of mind if money is a factor in window tint selection. For anyone interested in a reduction in cabin heat, UV rays, and final price tags, SunTek's Window Tint is a perfect choice.
